Job as a hairdresser · Vienna 1040
We're looking to strengthen our team at Favoritenstraße 68: a hairdresser (m/w/d), full-time or part-time. Our apprenticeship is open as well.
Hairdresser seeking work, Vienna?
Are you looking for work as a hairdresser in Vienna, a new position or the apprenticeship? Here, hairdressing and the nail salon sit under one roof — a small team in Wieden, everything close at hand and regulars who give us 4.8 stars on Google. We are at Favoritenstraße 68, 1040 Vienna (4th district), right by the U1 station Taubstummengasse.
We work with Wella and Olaplex, across every technique: cutting and styling, colour and highlights, balayage, hair extensions, perms and updos. If colour is your strength, you'll have plenty to do here.
Two positions are open: a salaried job, full-time or part-time — and an apprenticeship for anyone who wants to learn the craft from the ground up. For either one, we don't need a formal application letter.
Positions · Hairdresser · Vienna
Two open positions as a hairdresser — pick whichever applies to you.
Cutting, colour and styling across the whole range — with a completed apprenticeship or comparable salon experience.
Three years of training in the middle of salon life — from washing and care to cutting and colour. No previous experience needed.
Hairdresser, part-time (m/w/d)
Full-time or part-time, starting by arrangement — we decide together how many hours a week that will be. This is what your day here looks like.
Women's and men's cuts, blow-dry, finish. You work independently at the chair — with your own appointments.
Roots, full colour, highlights, bleaching and balayage — with Wella colour and Olaplex protection.
Listening, judging what is achievable, advising honestly. That is why clients come back.
Appointments, a clean station, hygiene. In a small team everyone pitches in — away from the chair as well.
Completed training or experience
A completed hairdressing apprenticeship or comparable salon experience. Even straight out of your apprenticeship, you're in the right place here.
Colour and highlights come easily to you. We do a lot of balayage — experience with it is a plus, not a requirement.
Enough German to understand what clients want and advise them honestly. An accent bothers nobody — silence does.
Turning up on time, taking appointments seriously, working cleanly. In a small team every gap shows immediately.
Mon–Sat, closed on Sunday
Hairdressing and the nail salon in the same space — one team, and we pass clients on to each other.
Balayage, hair extensions and updos are part of the everyday work here — not just wash, cut, blow-dry.
The salon is open Mon–Sat 09:00–19:00 and closed on Sunday. Your work schedule is agreed together in advance.
Paid according to the collective agreement for the hairdressing trade — the figures are stated openly in the key facts.
Position 02 · 3-year apprenticeship
Want to learn the craft, not just watch it? The apprenticeship as a hairdresser (stylist) takes three years in Austria and runs alongside vocational school. Here you start with washing, care and preparation — and work your way up one skill at a time.
Because hairdressing and the nail salon share the same space, you will see colour, balayage and updos on real clients — not just on a mannequin head.
What it takes: completed compulsory schooling, reliability and enjoying working with people. We don't expect previous experience — that is exactly what the apprenticeship is for. A taster day beforehand is possible at any time.
Trial day first, then contract
Three steps — for the job as well as the apprenticeship.
Message us on WhatsApp, call, or send a short e-mail. A CV helps, we don't need a cover letter.
A trial day for the job, a taster day for the apprenticeship. You see the real routine, we see you work — before anyone commits.
Working hours, full- or part-time, pay, start date — all discussed openly. If it works for both of us, we draw up the contract.
Pay, apprenticeship, workplace
The pay is out in the open: € 2,071 gross in the first year of practice under the collective agreement for the hairdressing trade, € 2,133 from the fourth, € 2,287 from the sixth.
All figures are gross amounts per month and match the collective agreement minimum for the hairdressing trade, valid from 1 April 2026, on a full-time basis. Part-time is calculated pro rata. Pay above the minimum is something we discuss in person.

Yes, and we recommend it. A day in the salon tells you more than any interview: how the team works, which clients come in and how the day runs. Message us on WhatsApp or call +43 664 75200395.
For the salaried position, yes — either the completed apprenticeship as a hairdresser or comparable salon experience. Starting straight after your apprenticeship is no disadvantage. Without any training, the apprenticeship is the right way in.
